Florida Recount in Senate Race?

Nowadays it seems like all of the scammers are automated, though, so there's not really an opportunity to try to screw with them. But it would be cool to, while pretending to go along with it, pull out a headphone, attach it to something that plays music, turn it up all the way (don't play anything yet), then suddenly put it next to phone and and start playing some loud audio.

While it sounds good - they just hang up. But something akin to CPs approach is just too satisfying. Play dumb, ask questions, struggle to do what they are asking. As long as they think they MIGHT scam you, they stay on. The longer they stay with you, the fewer other people they can scam.

There have been actual arrests, two of which I posted earlier. Organized? probably not. Fraud? definitely.

Yes, which is why I stressed "organised wrong-doing". There has been no evidence of that whatsoever, despite the conspiracy theories from the likes of Trump and Scott et al. There has been evidence of incompetence, but this is no reason why some voters should be disfranchised which seems to be the trend.

What "fiasco?"

Well the fiasco is Trump + Florida Republican leadership are screaming fraud from the rooftops with zero evidence, while on the ground the authorities and judges and election officials are all saying everything looks fine and are proceeding with a recount as per usual.

Unfortunately, the Republican base is too gullible to realize their leaders are playing them and/or willing to play along if by screaming fraud from the rooftops they can use it to prevent a full recount and thus achieve a de facto victory for their 'side'.

The only legit interesting feature of the recount is that in one county there seem to have been quite a lot of people voting straight-democratic ticket who missed ticking the Florida Senator race. Investigation thus far suggests that the reason for this was likely because that particular race was in an awkward place on the ballot paper (directly below the instructions) rather than in the long list of other races. What has yet to be determined however, is whether this is an error at the voter's end where they overlooked the race and failed to cast a vote in it (in which case, too bad for them), or whether it is an error in the automated scanning machines (i.e. the voters really did mark the appropriate box but the scanner isn't picking up on it due to the location on the page and is thus failing to record their vote). If it turns out to be a voter error, we might see a situation where Dems with the Governorship and not the Senate seat because the number of people who made this error was enough to split the races. If it turns out to be an error in the electronic scanners, then people will have to go through the ballots by hand and do a manual count.

P.S. for those who are not computer-savvy - the previous was said in jest. Any such call from a "Microsoft Technician" is a scam and what they will get you to do is actually load harmful software on your computer. They should be ignored, hung up on, or you can do what I do: suggest that they might be better off if they got an honest job!

It's like he's hoping everyone missed the fact that a judge had to step in and stop Democrat operatives from "fixing" damaged ballots without being monitored in violation of the law. Other judges have ordered Palm Beach and Broward county officials to release records as required but that they were refusing to do. And while one judge has urged both sides to "ramp down the rhetoric" after Trump and others leveled charges of illegal tampering, saying that as of yet there is no evidence of criminal wrong-doing, there certainly is unquestionable evidence exposing strange irregularities as well as unethical behavior and gross incompetence.

Source: Florida Dems planned to use altered forms to fix mail ballots across state after deadline

A day after Florida's election left top state races too close to call, a Democratic party leader directed staffers and volunteers to share altered election forms with voters to fix signature problems on absentee ballots after the state's deadline.

The altered forms surfaced in Broward, Santa Rosa, Citrus and Okaloosa counties and were reported to federal prosecutors to review for possible election fraud as Florida counties complete a required recount in three top races.

But an email obtained by the USA TODAY NETWORK-Florida shows that Florida Democrats were organizing a broader statewide effort beyond those counties to give voters the altered forms to fix improper absentee ballots after the Nov. 5 deadline. Democratic party leaders provided staffers with copies of a form, known as a "cure affidavit," that had been modified to include an inaccurate Nov. 8 deadline.

One Palm Beach Democrat said in an interview the idea was to have voters fix and submit as many absentee ballots as possible with the altered forms in hopes of later including them in vote totals if a judge ruled such ballots were allowed.
