Final Fantasy Tactics Advance
There are many situations where you should be playing it. I'm lucky enough to be on the road for my job nowadays, I have 11 hours in my game, and I'm still only at level 8 for most of my characters.
It's that good.
Unfortunately, while the GBA SP has backlights and rechargable lith-ion batteries right now, it's sound chip can't belt out tunes half as good as the first FFT on the Playstation. (Which you should also be playing if you still have a PS or PS2.)
Tactical strategy for everyone who takes the time to understand it.
PROTIP: Get Air Render for all your humans and bangaa right away.In reaction to Richwine Affair, all right-thinking people are quick to proclaim that they don’t believe in a genetic basis for IQ. They’re much less quick to explain – with any sort of precision – what they actually do believe in. At best, we’re treated to some hand-waving paired with the phrase “social construct.”.

I'd love to play it but I started developing gamers carpal (I just made that word up
). I started to get carpal tunnel symptoms so I when I was home for christmas, I only played through one video game. Plus, I should be studying all the time anyway. There may be a happy ending yet though. I recently started yoga and I recently learned that yoga may be good for carpal tunnel.

MadCatz sells an accessory bundle that includes a rubber sleeve to widen the grip on the rather small SP controller area. (Also has cigarette-lighter power cable and magnifying light, the first of which is absolutely necessary and the second merely curiously useful.

I've already got those grip wideners. it's still too small. the gamecube controller is still too small so I bought this one that is slightly bigger and has a fan inside of it. It typically doesn't make my hand go numb but it does make my hand ache after a while.

Re: Final Fantasy Tactics Advance
FFT:A was pretty good. NOT as good as FFT for the PSX though (ignoring the offensive and confusing storyline). I think mainly because there wasn't enough variety. That may sound strange since there are loads of job classes and magic spells/abilities in FFT:A but remember that most of those are just clones of eachother. This disheartened me when it came to the skills because in FFT I found myself wanting _more_ of 'em and was hoping that FFT:A would have loads of them so I could create a very diverse army.
Also, another giant thing that was missing from FFT:A was the ability to name your recruits! Argh!

You may be the one whose hand actually fits the X-Box controller, then

I got the gamecube and the controller works fine for me. Much better than that big 'ol N64 controller which made the L button worthless

Don't mind not naming recruits. Makes it less painful when you lose one. The thing about the cloned classes was the fact that starting up an army kinda requires a bit of overlap in the entry-level jobs. (I have never paid SO MUCH attention to which items I buy in quantity.) Once you progress to the advanced classes, the overlap disappears mostly. (I love my Illusionist Nu Mous
) The number of items is hard enough to keep track of already without requiring even MORE specialization. Not to mention how the laws can throw you out of whack on a hyper-specialized class. Moogles are the gun-users, Viera are the rapierettes, Bangaa keep the spears, Nu Mou hoard the monster souls, and humans get all the sabers. And that's enough for one day.

You let the computer take the lives of your recruits? Ha! I reset it the moment one of them dies/turns into a crystal

I didn't think there were enough human classes... I had a ton of Moogle Gunners, all who used charm shot to dominate the battle field!

Why not just have a bunch of Assassins, RockSealing everyone?
