What is the worldly religion of the Jew? Huckstering. What is his worldly God? Money. . . . Emancipation from huckstering and money, consequently from practical, real Judaism, would be the self-emancipation of our time [and would] make the Jew impossible. . . . In the final analysis, the emancipation of the Jews is the emancipation of mankind from Judaism.
I guess this is why Trump was so equivocal re the Unite the Right Charlottesville riots with it's "Jews will not replace us" chanting. And of note, the two voices that spoke out loudly in defense of the president's controversial "good people on both sides" remarks were former Ku Klux Klan leader David Duke and white supremacist figurehead Richard Spencer.

This is what one expects from nationalists and those that support them, as Emmanuel Macron so wisely said.

It's their historical homeland. They were dispursed from there 2000 years ago and yet have maintained their identity since as a people in exile. There is in reality no other place that could be their nation. Any other land would be a land of exile, a land where they were persecuted, isolated, rejected.

Do you know exactly where your own ancestors lived 2000 years ago (beyond "Europe-ish")? Does you living in the US rather than in your ancestral homeland mean the US isn't your home?

In my own country there were no humans living here 2000 years ago. Yet it is certainly my homeland and my nation.

Jewish people could settle anywhere and make that their home. Nobody is bound by wherever their ancestors happened to live. In my view the easiest way to go about it would probably be to congregate in a particular US state like the Mormons did with Utah. Settling in the midst of one's enemies like Israel is placed in the Middle East, is rather silly IMO.

Indeed. But I do find him a bit hard to read sometimes. Like above when he accuses me of "profound ignorance and jackassery" is it because I've hit the nail on the head and he's flustered and trying to dissemble and bluster, or is it because he's really so ignorant and uneducated that he's clueless as to the validity of my points and actually thinks I'm saying crazy stuff?

The home of anti-semitism is in the conservative/republican party along with the racists and the KKK. Methinks someone is feeling guilt by association.

Marcon is in sorry need of either a dictionary or a thesaurus if he seriously thinks that nationalism and patriotism are polar opposites.

If Trump had made such a ridiculous claim the MSM would have spent days lambasting him for his latest "lie."

There is no real analogue to the history of the Jewish people that I know of. A people who over a period of 2000 years of dispersion and exile from their homeland maintained their natonal identity and hope to one day return to that same homeland. After the holocaust, that yearning became necessity if the were to survive as a people and a nation and resulted in the unprecedented in the history of the world reestablishment of a 2000 year old nation complete with the full resurrection of a dead language - hebrew. There is nothing to compare it to really, no example to draw on to define what is silly or not.

At this point, it is a reality. A people dipursed across the earth for 2000 years are once again not merely a people but also a language and a religion and a nation.

What he did was make completely false statements revealing an abysmal ignorance of the subject. Claiming that patriotism and nationalism are polar opposites is mind-numbingly stupid on his part and it makes not a whit of difference that he was referencing Trump since that won't magically change the irrefutable fact that claiming that nationalism and patriotism are polar opposites reveals a weapon's grade level of stupidity on his part (as anyone with access to a dictionary or thesaurus can attest)
                        For example:
                        • Dictionary.com: Nationalism:
                          1. spirit or aspirations common to the whole of a nation.
                          2. devotion and loyalty to one's own country; patriotism.
                          3. excessive patriotism; chauvinism.
                        • YourDictionary as well as Collins Dictionary: nationalism:
                          1. a. devotion to one's nation; patriotism
                          2. b. excessive, narrow, or jingoist patriotism; chauvinism
                          3. the doctrine that national interest, security, etc. are more important than international considerations
                          4. the desire for or advocacy of national independence

Several dictionaries list "patriotism" as a synonym for "nationalism"

While it may be argued that nationalism is better described as an extreme form of patriotism (and note that is one of the definitions provided), it is, nevertheless, still a form of patriotism and hence it is foolish to pretend that they are complete opposites as Marcon declared.

Again, if Trump had made such a ridiculous claim the MSM would have spent days lambasting him for his latest "lie."

Did you know that Mark Twain visited the Middle East some 150 years ago and noted what many others both before and after him have described -- that nearly all of what constitutes modern Israel was uninhabited except for when Bedouin nomads happened to pass through it?
