You would say this just after I watched a whole "newsreel" of colossal rocket failures.

You drank your bong water again, didn't you? That could explain how you could confuse blatantly obvious sneering mockery for kissing up.

There were a number of liberals even claiming that Trump wanted the Democrats to seize control of the House so that Trump could have a "foil" in Pelosi for his 2020 re-election bid. The Wall Street Journal referred to it as Trump's Lose-the-House Strategy. For instance, former U.S. Representative from New York from 2001 to 2017, Steve Israel, declared:

This president is in desperate search of a foil, and what better foil than Democrats in control of Congress. He needs two years of preaching that he’s the only thing standing between survival and one-party control by the weak-kneed and knee-leaners, the ICE-melting, big-spending, crime-coddling cadre of socialists.

Liberal columnist Walter Shapiro remarked how Trump could blame everything on her and because of her unpopularity (Trump favorability is nearly twice hers) and because she extremely well known, it could work. This is one of the reasons why he has been urging Democrats to ditch her as their leader in the House.

Other pundits note how Bill Clinton thrived and won re-election after Newt Gingrich and the Republicans won control of the House back in 1994 as a historical example of how this could help Trump.

Still, most agree that Trump didn't want the Republicans to lose the House yet it sure serves to illustrate how any claims that Trump is somehow scared of Pelosi are inane blatherings.

That was all part of the Republican Party's brilliant "Contract with America". Clinton played it smart. He basically sat back, let the Republicans have their success, and then took credit for it. I doubt Trump is going to use the same strategy, largely because there will be nothing worth taking credit for if he lets the Democrats run the show.

                        Riiiiggghhhtt.

Cognitive Dissonance, JimL. Your mind can't grasp the contradiction and now doesn't know what to believe. Is Trump secretly working with the democrats? Is Pelosi a secret republican? Is Trump trying to sabotage her chances by endorsing her? Is he kissing up to her? Or does he figure it is better to have someone as ineffective as Pelosi stay in power to prevent the democrats from getting anything done?

17 Democrats pledge to vote against Pelosi for Speaker

In Jimmy WorldTM, that means they are inexplicably afraid of her.

Pelosi’s bid for speaker imperiled as public opposition grows

Sixteen Democrats vowed Monday to oppose Nancy Pelosi for speaker on the House floor, placing the California Democrat’s bid to reclaim the gavel in serious jeopardy.

In a highly anticipated letter that went public Monday, the Democrats called Pelosi “a historic figure.“

But, they added, “Our majority came on the backs of candidates who said that they would support new leadership because voters in hard-won districts, and across the country, want to see real change in Washington. We promised to change the status quo, and we intend to deliver on that promise.“

                              ......

The letter does not include at least three additional Democratic lawmakers or members-elect who have confirmed to POLITICO that they intend to oppose Pelosi on the floor: Rep. Conor Lamb of Pennsylvania, Abigail Spanberger of Virginia and Jason Crow of Colorado.

That would bring Pelosi’s opponents to a total of 19 members or members-elect committed to voting against her — enough to keep her from becoming speaker should these members refuse to budge.

These Dems must be shaking in their booties!

Actually, no - since they're fellow Democrats. In his world, only Republicans are afraid.
