Natural Science 301 Guidelines

This is an open forum area for all members for discussions on all issues of science and origins. This area will and does get volatile at times, but we ask that it be kept to a dull roar, and moderators will intervene to keep the peace if necessary. This means obvious trolling and flaming that becomes a problem will be dealt with, and you might find yourself in the doghouse.

As usual, Tweb rules apply. If you haven't read them now would be a good time.

I have become quite an Amazon customer, buying lots of things for which I used to make trips to the store. (Free shipping, no sales tax, etc.) Unfortunately, this means lots of cardboard boxes, plastic "air bag" fillers and Styrofoam. I'm rethinking this already.
There were paper pulp mills in Tacoma Washington and apparently there still is one there. I hated going downtown because it was right on the Pudget Sound and the usual stench of tidal water along with the fumes from the plants made it worse thant the dump! They're much better *now* in their management but back then...YUCK! EEEEWWWW! I preferred the dump! (In those days we were allowed to poke around at the dump for treasure that was somebody else's junk.)

If I could I would give you here the song "Aroma of Tacoma"...

Would be nice if it works and they can clean up the oceans at least somewhat. I see from their latest updates though that it doesn't seem to be working well at the moment.

Enter the Church and wash away your sins. For here there is a hospital and not a court of law. Do not be ashamed to enter the Church; be ashamed when you sin, but not when you repent. – St. John Chrysostom

So the momma skunk and her babies were walking downwind from the paper mill, and one of the babies asked "Momma, what IS that smell?" And Momma said, "I don't know, baby, but we have GOT to get some of it to take home!"
