Bernie Sanders becoming president likely has less to do with "what's in it for me" and more to do with a desire for something--anything--different, the same sentiment that helped get Trump elected and also elected various other populist leaders in other countries recently (of both conservative and liberal varieties).

I see that as being so much the opposite of true that it's quite amusing.

People vote against progressive policies that would help the country because they're focused on their own interests (i.e. lower taxes) rather than the nation as a whole.

I think Sanders will waltz to victory in 2020. He polls consistently as the most popular politician nationally, and he's got very strong name recognition. Those are normally the two primary factors.

Who would you want to see as a VP? Nobody really stands out to me, so I'm curious as to your perspective.

Yeah, I don't have a clear 'best choice' in my mind. I think Elizabeth Warren, Tulsi Gabbard, Nina Turner, or Barbara Lee would all be okay picks.

Maybe Maxine Waters just to cull the Republican voter base by causing mass aneurysms nationwide?

                            Because we would die laughing?

I doubt she would settle for VP.

So what would Bernie's campaign slogan be, "Let's Turn This Economy Around"?
