That fits with how you've presented yourself here. You seem to like to 'stick it to people'.

What "policies and actions contrary to our faith" has Trump put in place that any "normal" conservative Republican would not have at least attempted to put in place?

The ones that fly in the face of the fundamental aspects of our faith as embodied in the sermon on the mount, the golden rule, 1 Corinthians 13.

Trump rallies Christians to hostile behavior and actions towards the poor, towards the disadvantaged, and to immigrants especially. And his policies reflect that same hostility to the poor, to the disadvantage, and to immigrants especially.

If you don't see that as contrary to our faith, then you've read neither the old or the new testament.

He has put his lot in with white nationalists, with despots and demagoguse. He is absolutely for the protection of the rich from their obligations to fairness or general social responsiblity or from the rule of law.

If you don't see that as contrary to our faith, then you've read neither the old or the new testament.

He is hostile to the environment, which flies in the face of respect for the creation and God's provision through it and His original purpose for mankind in it as defined in Genesis. He is all about wealth and opulance, self-indulgence, and his economic policies as much as possible feed that in himself. Now in that the 'trickle down' effect tends to help some of us as well, which is that primary reason so many can overlook the other issues (hey - I've got more money in MY pocket!). And yet what did Jesus say about two masters?

The very thing you mention above in terms of what you like about him. That is not any kind of example of what a Christian person should be - or what they should admire - which is a man at peace with all as much as is possible. so how does that play to a non-Christian looking in? They know what Jesus said about love, compassion, mercy, caring for the poor, turning the other cheek. They know a true Christian is a person that shows grace and mercy and compassion for all peoples. And yet, Evangelicals proclaim Trump as their man, they admire his 'hit back 10 times harder', they justify his moral indiscretions at almost every turn. They defend him in the very things our faith demands we NOT be.

Those are some examples of policies and actions contrary to our faith that we have aligned ourselves with in Trump.

        • Back on the Mueller front, possibly, is that the DC court of appeals cleared an entire floor today to hear a secret case.

This is one of two sealed cases commentators believe are connected to Mueller (because of the speed at which the courts are progressing them through the system, where they are being filed, the law firms associated with them, the levels of secrecy involved, etc).

Some commentators are baffled: "To this day, I can't fathom what the heck it could be that would move this fast and get this much secrecy." - Bradley Moss, National Security Lawyer.

It is worth bearing in mind that Mueller's filing in the Cohen case said Cohen had helped with 3 of his investigations, but even the name of one of those investigations was redacted. One entire part of what Mueller is doing is apparently so secret that the public is not yet even allowed to know he's doing it. (I personally suspect that might mean its national-security related and having to do with ongoing espionage on the part of the Russians.)

With regard to today's case in the DC Court of Appeals, most commentators online appear to have settled on the view that it's probably Mueller trying to subpoena Trump, and Trump is fighting it up the appeals chain. Although, I personally don't see why it would warrant such a high level of secrecy if that were the case - there's no real reason IMO that such a debate over the legality of subpoenaing a sitting president can't be done in public like it has been done in the past.

          • Trump's most recently revealed criminality is that he appears to have been siphoning off money donated to his inauguration into his personal accounts. That is not legal.

No wonder he felt so obliged to insist that his inauguration was the "BIGGEST EVER!!!" He wanted to imply that the large sums of money being spent on the inauguration were justified and to distract from the spending and where it was/wasn't going by focusing on the crowd size.

If you go by the costs of previous inaugurations, then Trump apparently pocketed about 60 million, and it appears that money came from foriegn countries as well, which is also illegal in that it violates campaign finance law. Can you imagine the uproar that would be taking place amongst republican/conservatives if all of this corruption, theft, indictments, imprisonments, forced resignations and firings were taking place under the Obama or any Democrat Administration? I'm actually embarrassed for them.

I'm not sure how something Mueller-related would be going to the DC Court of Appeals; I thought all the investigation was being run through SDNY or EDVA, neither of which are linked to the DC Circuit.

I'm embarrassed for them too until I remember that they have no shame whatsoever.

You could do the Game of Thrones "Shame, Shame, Shame..." chant to them all day and they still wouldn't take any personal responsibility...

What is fact and not "speculative" is that the president's campaign chairman and deputy campaign chairman and national security adviser have plead guilty to felonies, and they're all either in jail or awaiting sentencing for felony convictions. The president's lawyer is going to prison. The president's business is in the focus for at least one of the felonies for which his lawyer is now going to prison. And his inaugural committee is now under federal criminal investigation.

And this is all separate from Mueller's investigation, which continues to investigate whether Trump and his campaign conspired with Russia to rig the presidential election favouring Trump against Hillary.

                          Stay tuned folks.

U.S. District Judge Emmet Sullivan (a Clinton appointee), who is overseeing Michael Flynn's criminal prosecution, ordered Mueller to turn over all of the interview documents with Flynn after learning that the FBI not only didn't tell Flynn that he was being officially interviewed but also specifically told him he didn’t need a lawyer. It was an entrapment interview in the guise of an unofficial, casual chat where they sought (and succeeded) to deny him the advice of legal counsel. And this was all done at the orders of James Comey who later bragged about how he got away with it on MSNBC.

It should be noted that disgraced former FBI agent Andrew McCabe was part of this interview and even he as well as the other agents signed reports saying that they didn't think Flynn lied during their talk, and yet Mueller would still charge Flynn with lying during this fraudulent unofficial, casual chat.
