  • Trump's next chief of staff called him 'terrible human being'

Somehow the president who always managed to get the best people until it turned out they were not that good and were fired or left for different reasons has now found himself his next chief of staff. This time around one of the best guys, a top of the line professional, is a guy who once called Trump a "terrible human being".

Note the "as bad". He is not even saying "worse". He wouldn't have fallen for the whataboutism on tweb, I suppose.

Anyway it seems quite few people were willing to find themselves among the best:

And somehow this all reminded me of the wise words of Bob Dylan:

    Big politician telling lies
Restaurant kitchen all full of flies
Don't make a bit of difference, don't see why it should
But it's all right, 'cause it's all good
So I made it easy for those of you who always do your best to explain why anything bad is all good.

To be fair, Mulvaney is also a terrible guy. As head of the Consumer Financial Protection Bureau he's attempted to sabotage it as much as possible in order to let dodgy businesses get away with fraud against consumers. That's the guy in whose judgement Trump is "a terrible human being". Even wicked crooks see Trump as wicked by comparison.

Mulvaney is also known for talking about his own time as a congressman:
But I guess that's par for the course for Republican congressmen.

"I hate him passionately", he's "a demonic force" - Tucker Carlson, in private, on Donald Trump
"Every line of serious work that I have written since 1936 has been written, directly or indirectly, against totalitarianism and for democratic socialism" - George Orwell
"[Capitalism] as it exists today is, in my opinion, the real source of evils. I am convinced there is only one way to eliminate these grave evils, namely through the establishment of a socialist economy" - Albert Einstein

You can leave out the word "Republican" and the statement would still be true.
The first to state his case seems right until another comes and cross-examines him.

So, the next chief of staff is the average conservative Twebber.

Good point. Because he's such an awful guy, we should lend no credence whatsoever to his judgment that Trump is a terrible human being.
