And with the House now adjourned, we're into the Trump Christmas Shutdown.

Government majority controlled by Republicans in the House, Senate, and Presidency, and this is the 3rd time they've caused a government shutdown in 2 years. What losers. They're simply not fit to 'govern' if you could even describe what they are doing as that.

Don't forget the obstructionist Democrats who could have simply voted for the spending package and avoided this shutdown.

The Senate unanimously passed a continuing resolution for government funding through February, that means Democrats voted for it. It was Trump who refused to sign it.

I thought the Republicans pretended to be the party of 'personal responsibility'? Maybe they should try taking some responsibility for their own failures, instead of trying to pretend a party with only a minority of votes is to blame. What losers.

It shouldn't even need to be pointed out to them how bad things are under total republican control. Half the administration is either under investigation or forced from office due to abuse of power, thievery, lying to the FBI, or as in the case of Gen. Mattis, just to principled to stay on any longer. The stock market has just completed its worst year since 2008, and I think we all remember what happened in 2008. The deficit, you know, the issue you never hear the end of when democrats take over from republicans and have to clean up their mess, is up by more than a trillion dollars. Farmers needed bailing out, you know, picking winners and losers, due to Trump tarrif idiocy. Not to mention Trumps overt attempt to destroy trust in democratic institutions and a republican party to scared to do anything about it. Trump of course, crook that he is and always has been, is under investigation on many fronts. Oh and of course, a government shutdown for christmas. And ya got to love Trumps comment that he is willing to tough it out as long as he has to. That probably means he's planning on playing a lot of golf.

Well he has to outdo Nero who supposedly fiddled while Rome burned.

Also, general reminder that government shutdowns aren't a thing in most other countries because their system isn't wacko like the US's. Please get a better system of government that doesn't make you guys look so stupid so regularly on the world stage.

Don't ask too much of them. Remember they have already got a president who surrounds himself only with the best and most serious people. You should be thankful.

He told them to include wall funding. The Dems refused. That's on them.
