    These are scary times for Christians in the Philippines. Their president is openly hostile to Christianity, calling God "stupid" and having called for bishops to be killed. He's not responsible for this incident, though.

        Especially in that area, where Islam has a significant presence and is using terrorism in a bid for independence.
