People have really odd notions for names these days. My cousin is naming her kids after presidents; her older daughter is named Kennedy (drawing a blank on the second - might be McKinley).
Enter the Church and wash away your sins. For here there is a hospital and not a court of law. Do not be ashamed to enter the Church; be ashamed when you sin, but not when you repent. – St. John Chrysostom

Actually his name is Justin Smollett but he goes by Jussie.

          • This epic incompetence here is comical. I love that they had the black police chief of the city speak about this. I hope they interview him on GMA and some of the other venues that gave Jussie an audience.

Maybe some of the shows that spoke of the attack as a foregone conclusion because they were so eager to have something they could use to hammer Trump with could interview him.

As the Washington Post's Jonathan Capehart acknowledged (while expressing his disappointment how Smollett's claim was falling apart), on MSNBC Live With Hallie Jackson the MSM jumped on this because it fit their "narrative" about Trump and they desperately wanted it to be true

It reminds me of the movie "Fargo" where the protagonists get caught simply because they botch their criminal scheme almost every step of the way.

Unlike most TV shows, criminals are usually pretty stupid. It doesn't usually take Sherlock Holmes to figure out "whodunnit"

During one of Chris Rock's comedy skits he talked about how some of his neighbors burglarized his apartment and stole his TV -- then invited him over to watch TV with them.

Over in Germany, while my dad was stationed there, a GI broke into the PX and stole a bunch of stuff, then hid it behind a dumpster in a dufflebag with his name on it.

This one may be an urban legend, but there's a story about a woman in court who gave detailed testimony of what exactly happened to her during a robbery. When the prosecutor asked, "Are the men who did this present in the courtroom today?" the defendants raised their hands.
