This isn't the first time a liberal has invented an attack upon themselves in order to gain sympathy and villianize conservatives. There was that lesbian waitress who accused some customers of writing something homophobic on her receipt, there were those black church burnings which turned out to be done by a black guy.

There have been a bunch of them in recent years including several Muslims fabricating accounts of being attacked right after Trump was elected.
