That's interesting Roy. What I often find in my own struggles with this very issue it that while I agree very much with the idea of supporting the masses, and I am especially opposed to supporting authority arbitrarily and at the expense of the masses (the poor or 'less rich'), I often find myself very much in disagreement with those that identify as left or liberal as to how that is best done. I tend to think a lot of left leaning policies actually end up abusing the poor, the masses.

My brethren, do not hold your faith in our glorious Lord Jesus Christ with an attitude of personal favoritism. James 2:1

If anyone thinks himself to be religious, and yet does not  bridle his tongue but deceives his own heart, this man’s religion is worthless James 1:26

This you know, my beloved brethren. But everyone must be quick to hear, slow to speak and slow to anger; James 1:19

I think, for the most part, the policies of the left are well intentioned, but poorly thought out and badly implemented.

It's both wings, Roy. Both are more concerned with gaining (or staying in) power than they are the actual concern of the masses.

True. The policies of the right wing, on the other hand, tend to be evilly intentioned and well implemented.

Sometimes. But in the US you don't really have any left-wingers, only right-wingers and very-right-wingers, so you can't really tell.

You're on a roll! Perhaps you can get booked for open mike night at Comedy Central!

Here's an interesting graphic that deals with the subject, albeit from a rather biased perspective, I think....
