  • Weird Question about a Debate

Wasn't really sure where to ask this, but it popped into my head and is now irritating me.

I remember quite some time ago, I read about how shortly after a debate, someone that William Lane Craig (at least I'm pretty sure it was Craig, might have been someone else, but it was a notable apologist) debated against actually converted to Christianity. I read about this a long time ago--I'm pretty sure it was at least a decade--but it just recently popped into my head. Unfortunately, I cannot for the life of me remember who the name of the converted was. Does anyone know who they were?

Just to be clear, this wasn't Antony Flew I'm thinking of.

    Darren Rasberry?
"I am not angered that the Moral Majority boys campaign against abortion. I am angry when the same men who say, "Save OUR children" bellow "Build more and bigger bombers." That's right! Blast the children in other nations into eternity, or limbless misery as they lay crippled from "OUR" bombers! This does not jell." - Leonard Ravenhill

I don't think it's Darrin Rasberry. I looked and didn't see anything about him converting shortly after a public debate.

I remember this because it was mentioned as a new item in some apologetics newsletter I used to be subscribed to, but unfortunately I no longer seem to have the e-mail. It just sort of randomly popped back into my head and I've been trying to figure out who it was.

Based on my vague memories of when I read it, I believe this would've happened somewhere in the 2002-2008 era. Okay, so that's sort of vague, but I know it was a pretty long time ago.

        It was Richard Dawkins.
