As I recall, there was a pretty strong political pressure from many in Finland to keep relations with Russia friendly, to the point of what some people thought of as being doormats, or being pushed around, after the war. I'm not sure to what extent that meant adopting communist/socialist policies, since I'm not really that versed in Finnish political history, but I wouldn't be surprised if "keeping relations friendly with Russia" also included moving closer to Russia politically.Originally posted by seer View Post
