And who is responsible to oversee the Atty Gen. so that he doesn't abuse the authority that the President just gave him over classified info? The responsibilty for oversight lies with the Congress, and if the President and the Atty. Gen. do not wish to cooperate, which is obviously the case then the courts can mediate as to what does and what does not get released for matters of national security or the interference with on going cases.Originally posted by Bill the Cat View PostComment

From the written statement (speaking live) my own summary
Formally closing the special council office, Mueller is resigning to return to private life.
The written report needs to speak for itself.
Outlining Grand Jury indictment allegations - every defendant is innocent until proven guilty.
Also investigation obstruction.
The report - two parts - Russian influence and insufficient to conclude a broader conspiracy - and - long standing department policy, sitting president cannot be charged.
The investigation of a sitting president is allowed, along with others who may be complicit.
Principles of fairness - unfair to accuse somebody of a crime when there can be no process of litigating that while the defendant is in office.
Nobody has told me whether I can or should speak further - it is entirely my decision.
The report is MY testimony - beyond what I say today, and what is contained in my written work, I don't believe it's proper for me to speak further to Congress or any other body.
Reiterating - There were multiple systematic efforts to interfere with the election.
