After conversion, there will be "continuing to sin" as long as a person lives. No - I am satisfied that the Bible denies that.
    So, yes, no? Or No.

A baby will have a continuing need for milk after it begins to eat solids.
That need will not continue throughout the baby's life.

    So, yes, no? or Yes.

What makes it seem that Paul claims that he can't stop sinning?

CP ninja'd me. Tabby is more confusing than James regarding Christian sin. I don't act my best when tired, hungry, or sick, but I'm not thinking about sin at that moment.

If it weren't for the Resurrection of Jesus, we'd all be in DEEP TROUBLE!

A baby will continue to crawl after it first begins to walk.
That will not continue throughout the baby's life.

    So, yes, no? or Yes.

What makes it seem that Paul claims that he can't stop sinning? Or rather - what makes it seem that Paul stands in contradiction of all the other NT authors, and of Christ himself?

Except that adult humans do sometimes crawl(e.g. too sick/injured to walk, looking for something small on the floor, getting into an area too short to stand in).

The point being that they crawl by choice, or when circumstances overwhelm them, perhaps?

I don't know of a single passage in Scripture that teaches us that it's possible to completely stop sinning after conversion. I do know of a passage (1 John 1:8) that says that if we believe have no sin we deceive ourselves. And I see no reason to limit that to some sort of intermediate period between conversion and some point in the future where we've grown so much in holiness that we're able to stop sinning (not counting the return of Christ, when we get our glorified spiritually-led bodies of course).

    1 John 1:8 - Really?

8 If we say that we have no (εχομεν) sin, we deceive ourselves, and the truth is not in us. 9 If we confess our sins, he is faithful and just to forgive us [our] sins, and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness. 10 If we say that we have not (ημαρτηκαμεν) sinned, we make him a liar, and his word is not in us.

ημαρτηκαμεν and εχομεν - both are perfect active indicative. Neither verse says "if we say that we do not sin."

And then, proceeding to chapter 2

3 And hereby we do know that we know him, if we keep his commandments. 4 He that saith, I know him, and keepeth not his commandments, is a liar, and the truth is not in him.

An interesting claim that - people who know Christ keep his commandments.

And then in chapter 3 (Just in case people make the mistake of thinking "keeping the commandments" doesn't involve "not sinning.")

6 Whosoever abideth in him sinneth not: whosoever sinneth hath not seen him, neither known him.

Repeated and reinforced through verses 9 and 10
1 Cor 15:34 εκνηψατε δικαιως και μη αμαρτανετε αγνωσιαν γαρ θεου τινες εχουσιν προς εντροπην υμιν λεγω
