"Behold, O Lord, for I am in distress, my soul is in tumult, my heart is wrung within me, because I have been very rebellious. In the street the sword bereaves; in the house it is like death. Hear how I groan; there is none to comfort me." (Lamentations 1:20 - 1:21 RSV)
I wonder how many times God hears the above prayer? I suspect more times than any of us could ever count! I wonder how many times he's heard it from me? More times than I'd want to count I can assure you. However, Jesus is a "Never Say Die, Never Give Up" Savior! Endure to the end he says repeatedly, and he practices what he preaches because he endures all our faults and shortcomings!
There is absolutely nothing we can do that well ever make Jesus stop loving us! That doesn't mean we are free to do anything we want to do. For Jesus loving us involves who we are and whose we not what we do. So during those low times when it seems as if your joyfullness, your peace of mind, your self-esteem has somehow died leaving you standing in darkness stand steadfast in faith believing that Jesus is a "Never Say Die, Never Give Up" Savior and just as sun broke over the horizon this morning so will blessing you need.
Grace & Peace,
Gary
