  • Caravan Round 2

so last year the democrats made a big stink about separating families from children. So they now can't separate them PLUS they can't hold them in detention for more than 20 day. Then they have to be released into the USA and report back when their asylum hearing is. Most just disappear and never show back up.

So now the word has gotten out that the loophole is to just bring some kids and pretend to be a family. The caravan this year has a LOT more children and fake families. These people aren't stupid. They are here to scam the system.

More Than 1,000 Fake Families Found At US Border

The Department of Homeland Security (DHS) discovered more than 1,000 fake families trying to sneak across the southwest U.S. border.

DHS officials said that since Oct. 1, 2018, authorities have discovered about five fake families a day sneaking across the border with children they have borrowed or abducted, The Washington Times reported Wednesday. Officials worry there may be more families, saying that the 1,000 fraudulent families discovered so far are merely the ones they have caught.

DHS officials have also noted a 315 percent increase in the number of fake family units between October 2017 and February 2018.

Homeland Security plans to start a program to check the DNA of the alleged families and ensure the safety of children who are being used in this way.

“The whole goal here is to identify these fake family units,” an official told The Washington Times.
This escalating strategy is a result of the 2015 Flores settlement update that makes deporting families with children who claim asylum virtually impossible, according to The Washington Times.

Families can only be held in detention under the Flores settlement update for about 20 days, which is about half the time it takes to hear deportation cases. This usually results in families being released, according to the newspaper. The Obama administration reportedly warned authorities that the Flores settlement might cause a rise in child abduction and fake families, as is now the case.

“It’s definitely an escalating trend that we’re seeing,” a Homeland Security official told The Washington Times.

“This is an unprecedented step forward in our investigative process and techniques,” a DHS official said to reporters during a Wednesday conference call.

Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) has also commented on the amount of fake families. “Fake families are being formed to cross our border and avoid detention. ICE [Homeland Security Investigations] is working with [Customs and Border Protection] to stop individuals, networks and organizations facilitating child smuggling and document fraud to illegally enter the U.S.,” ICE tweeted Monday. ICE said it will move experts to the border to investigate child smuggling by using scientific data to uncover the trafficking rings operating out of Central America and Mexico.

Andy Puzder: There's no denying the border crisis

This guy seems to get it.

Some may question the economic acumen of Sen. Bernie Sanders, I-Vt., but the candidate for the Democratic presidential nomination is clearly no slouch when it comes to the art of politics. So, when Sanders says, as he did during an April 15 Fox News town hall, that illegal immigration has become a “serious problem” that merits government action, Democratic legislators should listen. Or pay attention to a Post-ABC News poll released Tuesday indicating that Democratic voters’ concern about a “crisis” at the southern border has jumped 17 points since January.

Maybe Democrats in Congress should work with Republicans to resolve the crisis before the 2020 election.

The recent surge of Central American migrants — more than 100,000 were apprehended or denied entry in March, the most in one month in a dozen years, according to the Washington Post — is beginning to play right into President Donald Trump’s hands, and experienced politicians such as Sanders know it. That’s why he called for “sensible immigration reform” to accommodate an “overflowing” immigration system.

Ever the advocate of more government, Sanders proposed hiring hundreds of new immigration judges to help expedite immigration proceedings. Policies that stemmed the flow of illegal border crossings would obviously address the underlying problem and vitiate the need for all these judges. But admitting there is a problem and offering at least some solution is progress — in February, House Majority Leader Steny Hoyer, D-Md., toured the San Ysidro Land Port of Entry in California, along with three of his congressional colleagues, and declared, “There is no crisis at the border.”

While many factors are contributing to the current migration spike — crime, political oppression, a strong U.S. economy with more than 7 million job openings and the desire to escape hardship, to name just a few — Democrats have largely failed to articulate an effective solution. Rather, calls from the left to open the border (then-Democratic National Committee Deputy Chairman Keith Ellison), to abolish Immigration and Customs Enforcement (Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez) or otherwise prevent enforcement of U.S. immigration laws have paralyzed a Congress in which meaningful reform requires a bipartisan solution.
The first to state his case seems right until another comes and cross-examines him.

I meant our chuck (Charles). He likes to use the separation of children as a weapon to beat up Christians with.

DNA tests reveal 30% of suspected fraudulent migrant families were unrelated
              by Anna Giaritelli
              | May 18, 2019 09:54 AM

Some of the migrant families arrested at the southern border weren't actually families.

In a pilot program, approximately 30% of rapid DNA tests of immigrant adults who were suspected of arriving at the southern border with children who weren't theirs revealed the adults were not related to the children, an official involved in the system's temporary rollout who asked to be anonymous in order to speak freely told the Washington Examiner Friday.

"There’s been some concern about, 'Are they stepfathers or adopted fathers?'" the official said. "Those were not the case. In these cases, they are misrepresented as family members."

In some incidents where Immigration and Customs Enforcement told the adults they would have to take a cheek swab to verify a relationship with a minor, several admitted the child was not related and did not take the DNA test, which was designed by a U.S. company.

The pilot lasted a few days earlier this month and was used only in McAllen, Texas, and El Paso, Texas. ICE said the Department of Homeland Security would look at the results to determine if it will be part of its comprehensive solution to border issues. Homeland Security has not issued a public statement on its intentions going forward.

This is pretty much what Trump, ICE and other officials have been saying all along. They are using children to get into the country who aren't even theirs. This is human trafficking.

              30% is no small number.

...and it doesn't even appear to factor in those who admitted the non-relationship when faced with the test.
