James Comey is in trouble and he knows it

The first to state his case seems right until another comes and cross-examines him.

I think this is a glaringly obvious attempt to change the narrative. Given the Democratic control of the house, I don't think it will work.

Barr doesn't work for the House.

        Correct.

I don't believe that piece was written out of a fear for himself.

My opinion of the Comey op-ed piece you mention is that he is trying to reach out to people in the Trump administration who know they are compromised by working for the president but believe they can help protect the country from the worst of what he is if they just stick to it. I think he is trying to help them realize it is almost impossible to stay in Trump's circle and not be corrupted by it before they are actually corrupted by him.

My brethren, do not hold your faith in our glorious Lord Jesus Christ with an attitude of personal favoritism. James 2:1

If anyone thinks himself to be religious, and yet does not  bridle his tongue but deceives his own heart, this man’s religion is worthless James 1:26

This you know, my beloved brethren. But everyone must be quick to hear, slow to speak and slow to anger; James 1:19

I don't think Barr care's about the "narrative". I think he's more concerned with getting his own house (the DOJ) in order.

Of all the beltway denizens who care about narrative, Barr and his boss are probably numbers 2 and 1 right now. FWIW, Ilhan Omar will probably start to make furtive squeaks at number 3 due to her support from and for the Muslim Brotherhood.
