Re: The Debate Is Coming! The Debate Is Coming!
it's the worship of moles. incidently, they also believe that God knows not just what will happen in the future, but what would happen if circumstances were different. it is described by William Lane Craig, a molinist, as a cool way to reconcile human free will with God's sovereignty over everything that happens, since God can ordain something to occur by manipulating the circumstances to bring about a desired free will choice (well, i don't think he actually used to word "cool," but he would have if the circumstances were right

90 percent right. However the overemphasis on Pavlovian psychology is a common misunderstanding of molinism

It's been a year and a half since I was there. Did you go to the URC? I might have known you then. I'm guessing you weren't part of the GEU movement. What was CCC?

i used to go to URC, but now i attend Trinity. CCC refers to Campus Crusade for Christ, the ministry that resulted in my coming to Christ a few years ago. i'm still loyal to them, it seems

That or come to the debate. :brow:
If I have a mystical experience, an experience that's so overwhelming that I know now that there's a God, the cognitive fallout from that is irrelevant. The fact that that experience can be explained by psychologists in numerous ways is irrelevant to the fact that I now know.

if you find one by William Lane Craig, go for it... while i don't agree totally with molinism, he is probably one of the best representatives of the view.
