Kids are funny
My two-year-old has got a ton of personality. SO MUCH PERSONALITY. Sometimes I'll say "Hi, kids!" or "good morning, kids," and she repeats that, except she lumps everyone into kids. So the wife and I might be sitting in the living room with the older two, and she'll walk in and happily exclaim, "Hi, kids!" in her tiny little voice.
The little two were eating ramen for lunch, and she said to him, my four-year-old, "Look, Robin!" He corrected her that it was ramen, not Robin, and she insisted that no, it's Batman and Robin soup.

I've always referred to my daughter and s-i-l as "the kids". So I talk about the kids coming to visit, etc.
Kasha was staying with me for a few days when she was 4, and her parents were coming to get her on her last day with me. She got up that morning and after getting dressed and having breakfast, she asked me, "So, what time are the kids coming?".
Cracked me up.

Took me a minute to parse this. I was like, why does mossy refer to her sister-in-law as a kid?
Enter the Church and wash away your sins. For here there is a hospital and not a court of law. Do not be ashamed to enter the Church; be ashamed when you sin, but not when you repent. – St. John Chrysostom
