We live in a society that has degenerated in the area of personal character that we are, as a society, no longer fit to have free access to guns. There are too many people living lives below the moral line where such actions are thinkable. And no-one is willing to make the massive changes in attitude and morals, especially since almost universally the ONLY way that is accomplished is through religious faith. But neither can we sit back and just pretend there is nothing preventative that can be done."The man from the yacht thought he was the first to find England; I thought I was the first to find Europe. I conclude, RELUCTANTLY conclude, that there is a certain logic to the American right wing attitudes to guns after all. It would take a fundamental change to the culture to prevent a gun ban from becoming a shooting fish in the barrel proposition - with anti-social elements doing the shooting.1Cor 15:34 Come to your senses as you ought and stop sinning; for I say to your shame, there are some who know not God.

Apparently - a lot. We just didn't have mass shootings like this when I was a kid. Gun tech is roughly the same? That's way too rough a generalization. I guess you mean they still use gun powder and a trigger
You are such a wild thing. Like Africanized bees, it takes almost nothing to provoke you into a crazed and defensive response. Best to keep one's distance.
JimMy brethren, do not hold your faith in our glorious Lord Jesus Christ with an attitude of personal favoritism. James 2:1
If anyone thinks himself to be religious, and yet does not bridle his tongue but deceives his own heart, this man’s religion is worthless James 1:26
This you know, my beloved brethren. But everyone must be quick to hear, slow to speak and slow to anger; James 1:19
