Asian-Americans Note Issues Central to Them for Elections

Caring about other people's issues is a good way to establish relationships that can then provide opportunities to share about one's faith with them.

The New York Times requires a membership to read their articles. You might want to try another source, or provide some key details.

Memberships are free and don't require a lot of paperwork.

I have like three or four.

The idea is that Asian-Americans are trying to act more in sync as a voting block, since they feel that the parties aren't paying enough attention to their issues, only seeking to get out the vote on their own hard-liners in the upcoming election.

Re: Asian-Americans Note Issues Central to Them for Elections

I registered and read it. Pretty interesting. The issues seem to be the same as those of other minorites, albeit with less worry about poverty. Honestly though, the issues for the Asian voting block don't seem so urgent or important as inner city poverty for African-Americans and immigration for Hispanics. This seems to reinforce the idea of a "model minority" that the article mentioned.
"Dictatorship naturally arises out of democracy, and the most aggravated form of tyranny and slavery out of the most extreme liberty." Plato

"Knowledge without justice ought to be called cunning rather than wisdom." Plato

"All men are by nature equal, made all of the same earth by one Workman; and however we deceive ourselves, as dear unto God is the poor peasant as the mighty prince." Plato
