Unfortunately, it's pretty much impossible for "the church" to do much because it is so fractured. At best, the expert's denomination can condemn him/her.Veritas vos Liberabit<>< Learn Greek <>< Look here for an Orthodox Church in America<><Ancient Faith Radio

I recommend you do not try too hard and ...research as little as possible. Such weighty things give me a headache. - Shunyadragon, Baha'i apologist

When I was younger, we used to have "prophecy experts" come to our Church on a fairly regular basis (a couple times a year) with their charts and graphs and timelines 'proving' that Jesus would return after X event, or that Y and Z needed to occur, THEN Christ would return, etc.... It was mostly pre-trib pre-millenial rapture stuff with with cliff notes.
Since then, I've become a panmillenialist. The first to state his case seems right until another comes and cross-examines him.

I had a young man in my Church who absolutely became paranoid over this, and would put black electrical tape over anything that he thought might be a camera! (Not a bad idea, by the way, for your notebook computer, or monitors with built-in cameras, because they CAN be activated remotely)The first to state his case seems right until another comes and cross-examines him.
