Deeper Waters Forum Guidelines

Notice – The ministries featured in this section of TheologyWeb are guests of this site and in some cases not bargaining for the rough and tumble world of debate forums, though sometimes they are. Additionally, this area is frequented and highlighted for guests who also very often are not acclimated to debate fora. As such, the rules of conduct here will be more strict than in the general forum. This will be something within the discretion of the Moderators and the Ministry Representative, but we simply ask that you conduct yourselves in a manner considerate of the fact that these ministries are our invited guests. You can always feel free to start a related thread in general forum without such extra restrictions. Thank you.

Deeper Waters is founded on the belief that the Christian community has long been in the shallow end of Christianity while there are treasures of the deep waiting to be discovered. Too many in the shallow end are not prepared when they go out beyond those waters and are quickly devoured by sharks. We wish to aid Christians to equip them to navigate the deeper waters of the ocean of truth and come up with treasure in the end.

We also wish to give special aid to those often neglected, that is, the disabled community. This is especially so since our founders are both on the autism spectrum and have a special desire to reach those on that spectrum. While they are a special emphasis, we seek to help others with any disability realize that God can use them and that they are as the Psalmist says, fearfully and wonderfully made.

same here - I need to talk to God more, just about life, and say "Thank you" more often.

My youngest daughter has been the picture of this for me....

When she was little, sometimes she would climb up in my lap when I was in my EZchair and wrap her arms around my neck, and say, "Daddy, I love you".

I'd growl "Oh yeah, what do you want NOW?"

And she'd giggle and say "I don't want anything - I just want to tell you I love you".

And she just sent me a text telling me that her coworker wants me to be HER Dad, too!

My baby is the one on the right - people often confuse them for the other person, and/or believe they are sisters.
The first to state his case seems right until another comes and cross-examines him.

Without a caption, I'd have guessed the one on the right. She definitely looks more like you.

Yup. I really hate it that for all practical purposes I only talk to Him when I need or want something and only occasionally remember to say thanks (especially in light of Luke 17:11-19).

I'm always still in trouble again

Okay. Maybe he never said that. But I can imagine him doing so.

I grew up with the notion that spontaneous prayer was the only valid way to go, but the set morning and evening prayers I've said since I became Orthodox have helped me immensely in that regard.

It's kinda funny, cause one of them will see a patient one day, then the other will stop in the next day, and the patient will say, "well, I explained all of that to you yesterday...."
