      • Just saw a headline that claims that Republican support for Trump is rising....

Naturally, the loony left will claim that this is because Republicans are racist or despicable or whatever...

        Here's a thought.....

The loony left has gotten SO BATPOOP CRAZY on steroids that people are looking to ANYBODY --- even the Trumpster --- to save them.

          Question:

When campaigning in 2016, Marco Rubio was asked if he had ever experienced racism. He answered yes, that his family was told to go back to Cuba. Was Rubio's comment "nutty talk" then?

            Wrong "nutty talk".

I referred earlier to the batpoop crazy "I don't want any black faces without a black voice" crap. THAT kind of nutso idiotic crap. Then turning back and accusing everybody else of being racist, because - in the "good ol' days" that 'worked' to shut down dialogue.

              By your synopsis, yes.

I held my nose while voting for the man - but he was better than the alternative. Over time, he's been a darn site better than I thought he'd be. But the reason I will vote for him again in 2020 is that he has done a decent job with his Court appointments - and I DO NOT want a Democrat, no matter how moderate making any of the probable upcoming appointments. ROE NEEDS TO DIE.

There's a lot about Ginsberg that I do respect - but I want her replaced by a conservative. There are two more possibilities - want conservatives - and Trump has thus far delivered.

I used to think one issue voting was a bad thing - and I still have issues with it - but 46 years of killing babies is 46 years too many. Most of the crap law now comes from the Court, not Congress - and it's PAST time the Court cleaned up the mess it has made.

Honestly, I suspect it's the Court, more than Congress, that has driven me from the Democratic Party - I left before they were quite this nuts.

it would depend on the context of the situation. The phrase "go back to ____" isn't intrinsically racist. Yet that is what people seem to be saying, that if anyone says "Go back to your country" that phrase in and of itself is racist. Which is ridiculous. Even if said to someone who is of a different race than you. It would always depend on the context of the situation that cause the speaker to say that. He could be saying it because of their race, or religion, which would be bigoted, or because of their politics, or actions which would not be.

Without context, I'd say maybe - there may have been more to it that supports his conclusion. And being fair, he was there, I was not. However, if that was the extent of it, no, it's not racist.

Making everything racist has made the term a joke. It's begun to lose most of it's punch to those it's directed at. There was a time when I'd have been hurt - and angry as you-know-what - if someone had called me that. Now? Eh, so what? It's like being called 'stupid' only with less justification.

It depends on the context. If Rubio was spewing vile, anti-American sentiments, and someone said, "If you hate it here, then maybe you should go back to Cuba," then, no, that wouldn't be racism.

Protesting, the ability to protest, is what this country, unlike Russia and other authoritarian countries, is all about. When you tell protesters to either shut up or go back to the country of their heritage, then you are not being American. I'm sure you would not be arguing the same point if it were a Democrat President telling those disagreeing with his politics/policies to either shut up or go back to their country of heritage. What on earth is wrong with you people, is it just ignorance, hatred of democracy, tribalism, or what?

Nope. I didn't hear of anyone telling the president that he should either agree with their perspective or else leave the country. Did you?
How bout an idiotic racist statement like....

"We don’t need black faces that don’t want to be a black voice, "We don’t need Muslims that don’t want to be a Muslim voice. We don’t need queers that don’t want to be a queer voice. If you’re worried about being marginalized and stereotyped, please don’t even show up because we need you to represent that voice."

Is that "democratic", or is it "authoritarian".
Cherry pick much? Who said it, and to what were they refering to? But no, it isn't racist from what I can gather from out of your cherry picked quote. It sounds as if the speaker is saying that if you are afraid of what some may think of you, then you'll be of little help to the cause, and there is no need for you to be there, wherever there is!
