The only reason Democrats are having the dirty cop testify is because they're desperately hoping he'll give them something that isn't in the report as grounds for impeachment. If all Mueller does is read from the report then they're sunk, and they know it. Otherwise, they would have filled for impeachment months ago with the Mueller report as Exhibit A.
