    I am most curious.
    1The Spirit of the Lord GOD is upon me,
    Because the LORD has anointed me
    To bring good news to the afflicted;
    He has sent me to bind up the brokenhearted,
    To proclaim liberty to captives
    And freedom to prisoners;
    2 To proclaim the favorable year of the LORD
    And the day of vengeance of our God;

    Or as St Luke quotes it:

    18
    because he has anointed me
    to proclaim good news to the poor.
    He has sent me to proclaim freedom for the prisoners
    and recovery of sight for the blind,
    to set the oppressed free,
    19

    The Lucan emphasis on the poor, the blind, needy, lost, rejected, and so on, is set out in (for example) the Magnificat in St Luke 1.46-55, as well as in the parables in St Luke 15. And this emphasis is in turn probably to be understood in light of Psalm 72: https://biblehub.com/bsb/psalms/72.htm

      I lean toward it being a person. But I have to admit I go the other way in 2 John ("The elder unto the elect lady and her children, whom I love in the truth; and not I only, but also all they that have known the truth." (2 John 1)), that "elect lady", which some have given the Greek name "Eklekta Kyria", actually refers to the local church of elect believers, not to a person.

        yep
        The first to state his case seems right until another comes and cross-examines him.
