First I heard of this guy was via a Daily Wire post in my Facebook Newsfeed. I don't listen to Christian radio. My "praise" music is my collection of Petra Praise CDs. Not really suitable for church, but great for screa... singing along with in the car on the highway. In church, I'm rarely satisfied, because the "praise and worship" music of my formative Christian years was the stuff common in "contemporary" services in the '80s. The style has changed since then, and seems alien to me.
I'm Pentecostal-Charismatic, so for me, boiling it all down to "too much emotion, too little intellect" is not a good explanation. I agree that there is a shortage of intellectual involvement in much of the Church; but I also agree with the aphorism that "anyone who can be 'reasoned' into the faith can be 'reasoned' out of it."
