The bible says he is a cherub (Ezekiel 28:12-19) - not some beast created on Earth.

WADR, that passage is explicitly directed to the king of Tyre, while the word "satan" occurs nowhere in Ezekiel.

That's why I said such identifications are inferential, and many of the passages from which they are inferred are of a literary form that makes literal readings problematic.

It is also obviously an allegory and talking about Satan. Was the King of Tyre a cherub? Was he in Eden?

While I (and Dr. Heiser) agree with you, as I stated, the majority view among OT scholars is that it is NOT an allegory for Satan, so unfortunately its obviousness isn't so obvious to everyone.
