The bible says he is a cherub (Ezekiel 28:12-19) - not some beast created on Earth.
WADR, that passage is explicitly directed to the king of Tyre, while the word "satan" occurs nowhere in Ezekiel.

That's why I said such identifications are inferential, and many of the passages from which they are inferred are of a literary form that makes literal readings problematic.

That show is wearing out my last nerve. High time the whole thing plunged into the Abyss.

(But the "Yellow Fever" episode still wrecks me. )

It is also obviously an allegory and talking about Satan. Was the King of Tyre a cherub? Was he in Eden?

While I (and Dr. Heiser) agree with you, as I stated, the majority view among OT scholars is that it is NOT an allegory for Satan, so unfortunately its obviousness isn't so obvious to everyone.

Thank you! I was hoping to get some feedback on it, and that it would be helpful.
