I saw in the university I went to and a lot of murals and such a message that I agree with wholeheartedly that goes something like this.

Christ came to earth.
Christ lived on earth.
Christ was crucified.
Christ was glorified.
One day he shall return.

I have seen the philippians jailer story used to great effect.

C.S Lewis and many others do a good job explaining what the good news is.

Heaven is a part of it but it isn't the whole story.
