Seriously, get away from the ledge - you're making it much worse.

The disclaimer on the transcript is exactly the type used by real time stenographers, outside of a courtroom (where they can interrupt for clarification). I've seen no implication anywhere that it is a compilation of notes - which would not be considered a transcript.

Assuming this goes to trial - I'll comment on that later - we'll find out for certain then.

If I tell you about a conversation I heard that is hearsay
FYI: There are limited circumstances in which hearsay is admissible. If they are establishing when a witness indicated they knew something, it might be admissible.

        Maybe.

You're flat out calling him a perjurer now. Are you sure you've thought this through?

No doubt in my mind that he's a perjurer, and had this been a court of law rather than Congress, he wouldn't have gotten a do over, he'd have been charged with perjury.

By the way, this is referred to as "invoking the rule".

Many judges have "the rule" in place at the beginning of the trial, but either the prosecution or defense can ask, as a point of order, to "invoke the rule".

              Rule 615. Excluding Witnesses

At a party’s request, the court must order witnesses excluded so that they cannot hear other witnesses’ testimony. Or the court may do so on its own.

More like supporting the president's version of events because he ‘owed him one’ for his ambassadorship. But later thinking better of it, when it became obvious that his version (i.e. the president’s version) would not hold up in the face of the considerable consistent evidence to the contrary. Sondland has now joined the ever-increasing list of witnesses corroborating the whistle-blower's contention.

Okay, but Sondland is a star witness for impeachment - this seriously hurts your case.

That was my first thought but Jim is aware Trump hasn't testified so I think he's still talking about Sondland.

                            Which is encouraging.
