    • Link to the Twitter post with video. Her description is accurate. You can see their expressions change. Cooper keeps mostly a poker face, but the guy in the middle goes from a smile to slight confusion to concern.

Had it linked on the word "sad." I'm wondering if I could have linked the whole image? Probably should have did that.

          • Snowballing...

Why Joe Biden needs to personally address Tara Reade's allegations

I give it a week, max, to gather enough steam, then someone from the top (Pelsoi, Schumer, one of the lady VP runner ups?)will have to address it.

              • One thing I'm worried about is if (actually when) Biden steps down and they replace him, Trump might be in some trouble if they replace him with someone who can actually debate. Like... Kamala Harris maybe?

I think a ton of this will depend on how (and when) we recover from this self-inflicted economic crisis. I think it's still "the economy, stupid".
The first to state his case seems right until another comes and cross-examines him.

                      • Up until today I hadn't seen a single person try to defend Biden against the allegations, as opposed to either supporting them (if a Progressive or a Trumpist), or just ignore them if a Biden supporter.

Here's what I saw someone post:

Any views on the validity of those arguments?
"I hate him passionately", he's "a demonic force" - Tucker Carlson, in private, on Donald Trump
"Every line of serious work that I have written since 1936 has been written, directly or indirectly, against totalitarianism and for democratic socialism" - George Orwell
"[Capitalism] as it exists today is, in my opinion, the real source of evils. I am convinced there is only one way to eliminate these grave evils, namely through the establishment of a socialist economy" - Albert Einstein

Well, the problem with trying to evaluate argument-by-image is that they tend not to put too much detail into it. However, thankfully the source is given in the lower-left corner and I looked them up, and they go into more detail in a tweet chain here:
                          https://twitter.com/tburages/status/1254167699061723136
(the arguments are in the replied tweets, one has to scroll down to see them)

Unfortunately, I'm not sure I'm familiar enough with the situation to evaluate the arguments. What I'm most interested in is the "She said she filed a Senate complaint in 1993 - but nobody can find it." What people have tried to find it, and how were they unable to? Was it missing in a place where one would have expected it? Apparently the statement that no one could find it comes from this article:
                          https://www.nytimes.com/2020/04/12/u...omplaint.html/
(as quoted in the tweet chain, "Ms. Reade, who worked as a staff assistant helping manage the office interns, said she also filed a complaint with the Senate in 1993 about Mr. Biden; she said she did not have a copy of it, and such paperwork has not been located.")

But it has not been located by who? (curse you, passive voice!) Did the article's authors check? Or is this in reference to other people? What exactly did they do?

If there is in fact no proof that it was filed, that could be evidence against her claim but it's hard to evaluate to what extent people looked for it.

                            • I have no doubt now that the DNC will use this to replace Biden. No doubt whatsoever. How they'll do it, I'm not sure, and how they'll sidestep Sanders I'm not sure, but they'll find a way. They might drag their feet for awhile though just to leave no one with the impression that they had somehow pre-planned all this (I'm not saying this was all pre-planned, but that they don't want to give anyone the idea). Who they replace him with I'm also not sure but I'd put my money on Kamala Harris. If you're a betting person, go all in on Biden not getting the nom. You'd make a killing because I believe the Vegas odds are still very much in his favor.

I feel bad for the Democratic party. Their nomination process produced an older white male which is the antithesist of their diversity claims and who is a weak candidate. Now they're trying to bolster their diversity by the vice-presidential candidate and hoping whoever they come up with is compentent to become president. If the person isn't viewed as compenent, I think given Biden's age they will lose votes. Their vice-president nominee could end up being their Sarah Palin. If they try to replace Biden and don't give the nomination to Sanders the presumptive second-place, I predict the party shreds itself.

Maybe they will work it all out but do I see them in a deep hole.
