Beyond Redneck - Haiku to you Too!
Late summer night chill
Silent messengers gather
Flies on the screendoor
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Fruits of fall labor,
A caul of earth still clinging
to spring daffodils
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Hands clap a white cloud.
Old woman’s flour smudged nose
smells the loaves baking.

In the beginning,
Creation embarks.
God's glory declared.

Why did God tarry
After each day the full night?
He paused to admire.

Sher, Did you intend for your first haiku to be a 5-5-5?
Not that I am a big stickler for RULES!

I’ve discovered peace.
Radiant, her beauty heals my heart.
Answers come and go.
IRA 2
I whisper the truth,
Racing mind and heart and soul,
And she smiles, naive.Thanks for your patience in the thread's I have previously committed myself to. Things are still difficult and topsy-turvy here, and I may actually start work somewhere this week (strong likelihood), so I'll do my best to answer some of those threads! See you in the forums...
When even our Christian leadership has committed to a strategy of compromising on "Do not murder" by supporting judges [like Alito], politicians [like Bush] and rulings that explicitly will kill certain innocent children, it is absurd for us to ask God to bless America. -- Bob Enyart, 1/18/06

Sherbear,
Very nice!
Renewal
God unzips the sky
Cool raindrops fall rhythmically

March 18th 2003, 04:50 PM #10Woman, these two sound somewhat universalist... Do you believe God's grace is given to all people? Or am I misreading your poetry? :)Today @ 01:40 PM

No, you have not misread my poetry. I hope my personal beliefs won't prevent you from enjoying them for their own sake.

Universalist?
Well, just one universal
truth...and that is Love

I guess it's the coming war which has me feeling philosophical and tender-hearted toward all of creation.Volo anaticulam cumminosam meam!

Well, that's okay, we have a couple of non-Christians around here, somewhere. Flipper is a flaming atheist (and an aquaintance of mine and my ministry). Welcome!

Old ladies, too drunkIt would be sufficient to have dreamed of cows, to have suffered hallucinations involving cows, or merely to have had-without prejudice-"cowish" sense data.
