He has lost the right to preach morality to anyone after admitting he supports infanticide. He is a moral reprobate.

You're welcome. You seem to sorely need it. I'm reading Michael Shermer's The Moral Arc at the moment, and can recommend it.

Your immorality on war issues is enough to be getting on with for now, we don't need to sidetrack into your immorality on abortion issues.

You don't have a leg to stand on when it comes to morality Star. No credibility at all.

Soleimani has been a known terrorist for decades. As I showed earlier Obama had sanctioned him for terrorism years ago. The fact that YOU never heard of him until now doesn't mean he was some innocent General and diplomat. He was a monster.

I find it fascinating that you guys, as some of the most immoral people in the world, genuine seem to think not only that you are moral, but that you are in any position whatsoever to lecture anyone else about morality. Studying your fascinating psychologies is one of the main reasons this site still appeals to me.

Searching this site using both google search and TWeb's search gets no hits on his name until after his death. Clearly he didn't bother anyone enough to talk about him.

The fact that YOU never heard of him
Various US sources are saying most people in the US hadn't heard of him. Trump clearly had never heard of him back when he was running for President and that right-wing radio host asked Trump about him. I doubt you'd personally heard of him before he was killed, but if you had you'd be the rare exception not the rule.

I don't feel I'm in a position to judge his character. Also, it's totally irrelevant. It's not relevant whether the guy was a saint or a monster. The right-wing can parade endless talking heads onto Fox News to say "he was a monster", but it's not important. What's important are the political ramifications of taking an act involving assassinating a politician.

Some video footage you can flick through and see various different shots of the massive crowds:

The man was loved in Iran. A University of Maryland poll of Iranians at the end of last year found Suleimani had an 80% approval rating (and that was consistent with polling done by other agencies in Iran).
In a dictatorship government-sponsored rallies and the like are hardly indications of broad support.

I had heard earlier today that that was what part of the big ObamaPayola was used for! So, yeah, that'd be a hoot.

Like in North Korea where everyone puts on a show trying to act the most grief-stricken when their leader croaks.

For a comparison, something like a million Iranians took to the streets back in November to protest the government of which Soleimani was such an important part (he appears to have been selected to be the next president). That's a lot of people risking a lot (something like 1500 were killed by the Iranian government and at least 7000 were imprisoned).

Ze'ev Chafets, who is conservative so he can be safely dismissed by star and his ilk, has reported that government officials were going door-to-door asking the residents if they would be attending the funeral. If you don't want to add to the number of dead or imprisoned you can guess what the result was.

I'm always still in trouble again
