Except a number of liberals actually are trying to blame Trump (I posted a couple of examples in this thread; I'll leave it as an exercise for you to find others), so my sarcastic gibe isn't too far off the mark.

When there are those on the left doing everything they can to blame Trump for the shoot-down, Jim, it's not "sick" to point that out.
The first to state his case seems right until another comes and cross-examines him.

Unfortunately - whether you mean to or not ( or even noticed ) - it is also making light of the fact 176 people died and the Iranian government is trying to cover up what happened.

Oh, is that your beef? I thought you were calling us "sick" for pointing out that liberals are trying to blame Trump for Iran's actions.

Anyway, whether you realize it or not, nobody is making light of the people's death.

But history tells us that no country is ever quick to say "oops, my bad" when they shoot down a civilian airliner by mistake. When the US military similarly accidentally shot down a civilian airliner (Iran Air 655) over Iran in 1988, they were anything but open and honest about what had happened and their own culpability in it, and it took 8 years for the US to issue a non-apology apology for it. Likewise it took Ukraine years to admit they'd mistakenly shot down Siberia Airlines Flight 1812 by mistake in 2001, and Russia still hasn't admitted its role in mistakenly shooting down Malaysia Airlines Flight 17 in 2014.

Iran admits they shot the plane down, claims it was unintentional.

...and Iran has admitted their error in shooting down the plane. Does that make them the quickest country in history to admit such a mistake?
