To reassure you all, I am utterly ashamed
of my former days as a motorcycle gang member and the things I did to my fellow man. I reaped what I sowed and now I have my own cross and burden to carry.
At times I curl up on the floor, weeping and wailing in repentance and sometimes it is just too hard to bear. It nearly drives me insane! The horror of it all.
I do not delight in the retelling of my past but only do so as a warning for others and to drive points home, for those that have ears to hear what I am saying. God knows who they are.
I do not find "The Way" easy, being a Christian is the hardest thing I have ever experienced in my life and yet I know I am saved purely by God's grace alone. I was not looking for God at all. He found me.
That is why I can relate so much with this song of John Newton.
Amazing Grace
Amazing grace! How sweet the sound
That saved a wretch like me!
I once was lost, but now am found;
Was blind, but now I see.
’Twas grace that taught my heart to fear,
And grace my fears relieved;
How precious did that grace appear
The hour I first believed.
Through many dangers, toils and snares,
I have already come;
’Tis grace hath brought me safe thus far,
And grace will lead me home.
The Lord has promised good to me,
His Word my hope secures;
He will my Shield and Portion be,
As long as life endures.
Yea, when this flesh and heart shall fail,
And mortal life shall cease,
I shall possess, within the veil,
A life of joy and peace.
The earth shall soon dissolve like snow,
The sun forbear to shine;
But God, Who called me here below,
Shall be forever mine.
When we’ve been there ten thousand years,
Bright shining as the sun,
We’ve no less days to sing God’s praise
Than when we’d first begun.
Please forgive me for being too hard on you all, including the atheists on this forum. Please forgive me for being rude and obnoxious.
I teetered on the edge of the Abyss once and nearly plunged in, but God pulled me back from that awful despair.
I do not want to see one single soul end up in the lake of Fire but the fact is, most will.
People just do not want to repent of their sinful lifestyles. That is their choice. If they repent and believe, they shall be saved, if they do not, they shall perish.
God commands all people everywhere to repent and those people everywhere will only hear, if Christians go out and preach the Gospel to the four corners of the earth. People and the preaching of the Gospel are the means to God's ends.
Please pray for me. Thanks.
God Bless you

Absolutely
for you Aseity. I see humility in this post and I pray that God keep us humble and bring to our remembrances exactly what He has done for each of us personally so that we too may extend grace and compassion to others who are lost still.
If I have a mystical experience, an experience that's so overwhelming that I know now that there's a God, the cognitive fallout from that is irrelevant. The fact that that experience can be explained by psychologists in numerous ways is irrelevant to the fact that I now know.
