No, a hero is some one who attacks a machine gun nest or runs into a burning building to save a child. Slick is not heroic on any level.

Obvious answer, Ukraine was corrupt under the Russian backed regime and those people, including the known to be corrupt Prosecutor General, was still in place after the election of Zelensky. Zelensky ran and won on the promise to clean up the corruption and the U.S., the European Union, and the IMF were not going to assist them without his acting on that promise. He did, he took measures to rid the country of the corruption to the satisfaction of the U.S. at which point the aid was appropriated. Trump then put a hold on that aid, as well as a hold on a White House visit, which Zelensky still hasn't gotten by the way, in order to extort Ukraine into smearing Biden for his own personal political gain.

As has been explained ad infinitum, somehome explanations never seem to sink in with you Trumpsters, withholding aid in the interests of the U.S. is not illegal, is not an abuse of power, extorting for personal gain is. The Obama administrations declaring no aid would be sent until they cleaned up the corruption in the government was in the interests of the U.S. and it had nothing to do with investigations. Demanding a foreign government to investigate an american citizen is an "abuse of power" in and of itself.

So, a few questions... in fact, let's start with one.

              A) Do you believe Hunter Biden was asked to be on that board because he
              i) Knew a lot about Natural Gas
ii) Was a subject matter expert in energy
iii) His last name was Biden
The first to state his case seems right until another comes and cross-examines him.

Ah so if Trump DIDN'T do it for personal gain, then it wasn't illegal or extortion?

Same action, different motive makes all the difference?

Look what they call speaking truth to power these days and you'll understand how terms like 'heros' has been cheapened by including athletes, actors and musicians -- who know make up the majority of a top 10 list.

OK. Maybe those are 2 different things but you get the idea.

Does it matter? The Democrat precedent is that someone can be investigated without a crime being specified. Hunter doesn't have anything to hide, right? So what's the problem?

JimL's over-the-top claims that he just makes up out of thin air make me laugh.
He probably did, but regardless it was widely held and publicly stated by many western leaders as well as the IMF that they could not continue with their support unless Shokin, against whom there was protests in the streets of Ukraine, was removed. And he wasn't just a single prosecutor, he was the Prosecutor General, akin to the Attorney general of the U.S., who, btw, is also corrupt.

That is twisting the facts Sparko. It was a BIPARTISAN decision, and one that was supported worldwide. And the focus was removing a corrupt prosecutor that was not investigating corrupt officials in the UKraine. Pressure was brought to bear by Europe, the IMF and other international organizations, not just the US.

Are you interested in the Truth or in being just another spin puppet for Trump? If the former, then don't create questions that are based on half truths and spin.

My brethren, do not hold your faith in our glorious Lord Jesus Christ with an attitude of personal favoritism. James 2:1

This you know, my beloved brethren. But everyone must be quick to hear, slow to speak and slow to anger; James 1:19

He was most likely given the job because his last name was Biden. That, why he got the job, is of course is irrelevant. If the U.S. felt there was something illegal going on, then the U.S. should have investigated it. The Presidents/US governments job is to protect and or investigate their own citizens not turn them over to foreign governments to investigate. Besides that, Trump wasn't asking for an investigation, just a public announcement by Zelensky on CNN of an investigation. That in itself should tell you something.

Abuse of power is for government officials. Why do they need the democrats permission to investigate Hunter? If there’s evidence of wrongdoing they should investigate. It actually is that simple. What is the problem?
