You're making progress. Baby steps! And you had the "messengers" thing right, which is rare.

The ideas I hold come from such men, Christian men, as RC Sproule, Chuck Colson, Bishop Sheen, Cardinal Spellman, and my latest (since he has hit the news due to his retirement) Archbishop Chaput.

If those men, along with the rank and file of the SBC, are liberals, then count me as a liberal!
OK, so clarification here, if you'd be so kind.

You're in agreement with Resolution 9 - 2019 as PASSED, or as originally proposed?

        As passed.

I think it successfully navigates between Charybdis and Scylla, not endorsing them (critical race theory and intersectionality) as a worldview but keeping a form of accountability to the faith, an analytical tool.

Its passage was perhaps providential, the alternatives today are the race realism of men like Jared Taylor of Amren (American Renaissance), Richard Spencer, etc. are a scandal on the church.

Thanks for the clear response. Kinda rare on Tweb.

All together now, follow the bouncing ball: "I'm proud to be an American, where at least I know I'm free. . . . ."

All we Republicans need to do is to elect more such men, like Steve King of Iowa, and Rodney Garcia.

If you study the constitution, as Garcia has, then you would know that if you are found guilty of being a socialist, then you go to jail or be shot. Any volunteers to man the firing squads?

Now there's a man that knows how to deal with enemies of the state.
I think it is important to understand that this comment came from left field. From what I can tell, Garcia had never publicly made any sort of proclamation like this. And I think he should resign or get voted out for it.

Did it come out of left field, and the comment was uncharacteristic for him? Or is it part of a pattern, and not really surprising that he made the statements? I suppose we cold look at his responses since his comments have made the news.

FWICT, he never made comments like this before on public record.
