    Was MLK a bible Christian?

Does there exist an in depth analysis of MLK's Letter from a Birmingham jail from a biblical perspective? I have come across 2 over the years, one from a Catholic, and I don't know the background of the other author. And I can't find it any more, so I can't check up.

The title question is also important, while the term is undefined here, it also carries enough of a meaning such that when it is used, people do seem to understand an intended meaning.

I think his actions behind closed doors speak louder than his words as a civil rights leader. He had a quite a few affairs. And I've always admired King's ability to speak and to reach an entire generation of people, but the idea that he had so many affairs and was a serial sex addict really bothers me.

Enter the Church and wash away your sins. For here there is a hospital and not a court of law. Do not be ashamed to enter the Church; be ashamed when you sin, but not when you repent. – St. John Chrysostom

Affairs, I think is established. But I hope you aren't referring to the rapes/orgies/white women stories which snopes dealt with.

The man is dead and at this point God has judged him. I dont know the man's soul and I never could. He cheated on his wife so has anyone with lust in their heart.

What can we learn from him to me is the more important question. After all we can spend all day with logs in our eyes.

I will go farther, I think his Letter from a Birmingham Jail is one of the great masterpieces of Christian thinking of the twentieth century, belonging alongside JPII, Hildebrand and Ratzinger and Niebuhr. (though I wish Niebuhr was named smith, his name is impossible to spell without a computer)
