What? I thought you all believed in natural mutation and evolution?

I'm far more concerned about what the public as a whole thinks than what a few Hollywood elites think. Isn't it a common conservative trope that what these elites think is completely disconnected from societal thought as a whole (i.e. Ricky Gervais striking a chord with the greater public)? If so, then why does it matter?

I was pointing out that the public at large is unlikely to know who he is or about his sexual predatory past. Further, these sort of folks are often cocooned in their bubbles filled with celebrities and their sycophants. I doubt he's personally received a scornful reaction from anyone in the last decade.

Moreover, I recall a documentary on him a decade or two back which mentioned the scandal in detail but showed him traveling around France near his home being treated as a celebrity and a star by the public at large.

ETA: I see he was voted out of the Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences in 2018 so perhaps there's hope. But then again, that was during the height of the #MeToo movement and things could change again.

You are strawmanning. I did not talk about 'breeding out a trait', merely making a population much taller than average., which can be done in <10 generations.

Once we've got those tools working well (perhaps in as little as 15 years), we'll pretty much immediately be able to cure almost every genetic disease, which will be rather useful for many people.
The view that 'we'll be able to hack human biology very soon' is proven naivety, they said that about the human genome project.

No one is addressing how Good Morning America and others have promoted child drag queens. Stop trying to play the dumb moderate.

Because homosex being normalised was in great part due to Hollywood and other media lapped up unthinkingly by the public. The current promotion of child drag queen and 'transexual' children are the first blatant attempts at influencing the public on pedophilia.

Who is 'they'? What did they say? And why is someone else being wrong in the past relevant to whether I'm right or wrong in the present?

Since the "quote" returns no results on a Google search you might want to source it.
