Lots of conspiracy theories being proposed. Some are saying the DNC is presenting another obnoxious oligarch that can equal Trump's obnoxiousness, because maybe that's what populism is and what attracts voters, or so they think. Others are saying Bloomberg is just there to create disruption, take the attention off of Sanders and force a brokered convention to then clear a path for a belated savior -- Hillary. I tend to lean towards the idea they're creating a Hegelian Dialectic scenario. They're presenting a polar opposite of Sanders -- rich, oligarch, establishment, obnoxious, racist, sexist, arrogant -- to then force folks to accept something in between, a more "moderate" candidate -- Butti, Klobuchar.

This is why nobody has ever heard the sort of things he openly says about minorities, old people, farmers and factory workers and the like -- until now.

He was polling okay when it was just his ads telling voters how great he is. But now that people are actually digging into his record and looking seriously at all the awful things he's said about women, all the sexual harassment lawsuits he's had against him, and all the awful racist things he's said, it doesn't seem very likely that he'll maintain his standings in the polls. Not to mention his long history in the Republican party and financial support for Republicans.
Seems to me he would do awfully in the general election, as many Dems would not be able to bring themselves for one sexist, racist, authoritarian Republican oligarch against another, while Trump's base would turn out for him.
At the moment, the results and polling are looking like a shoe-in for Sanders anyway."I hate him passionately", he's "a demonic force" - Tucker Carlson, in private, on Donald Trump

But I agree with the rest of it. He sounds like the democrat version of what the democrats accuse Trump of being.
