He can't even beat the DNC, remember 2016?

I agree with Bloomberg in thinking that had the Dems nominated Bernie in 2016, Bernie would have beaten Trump easily.

If Bernie did win, his crazed supporters would probably burn the White House down once they realize he can't actually deliver on the stuff he is promising.

Like 2016, he will sell out to the establishment for $$$, with no refunds for his supporters.

I think at this point in time Bernie Sanders might be the best choice, as he would effectively be unable to pass much of his agenda in the first place. Bloomberg would not be nearly so hamstrung, given that he's more of an authoritarian than anything else and would be able to find plenty of common ground with anybody in Congress. I think they're both terrible candidates, but I think Sanders at least acts in what he believes is good faith.

Who is your preferred Democratic candidate, given the state of the field today? Feel free to explain why. In your opinion, is there a difference between your preferred candidate and the candidate most likely to win (either the nomination or the election)?
Sanders or Warren would be preferable, though any of them would be preferable to Trump. Why, because the current state of government is corrupt and they have been making the same arguments in that regard for decades. The others, though ultimately, they have similar democratic socialist political agendas, i.e. healthcare, the environment, living wage etc, they are not as upfront about exposing and taking on the corruption. There is no difference between my prefered candidate, and the one I think most likely to win, even though the media would like us all to think so. Many people voted for Trump because of his campaign promise to drain the swamp, but didn't discern that his promises were opposite his intentions, i.e. they didn't recognise him for the lying con man that he is. Thanks to them, Trump is now the King of the swamp, and continues to fill it with his toadies.

They're too stupid to realize that if he wins, he's going pick their pockets, too, not just the pockets of the rich.

Trump has already been picking our pockets, and filling his own and his wealthy constituents pockets, and you're to stupid to realize it.

None of them. 1st and 2nd amendments are deal breakers for me. Though Gabbard appears to be a supporter of the 1st, at least much more so than the authoritarian progressive PC wackaloons, I'm not sure about her stance on the 2nd. But it's probably not good.

It would literally take a gun to my head to vote for any of them. If said gun was at my head I guess it would be Gabbard, but I agree with SeanD, 1st and 2nd Amendments are deal breakers for me.

No matter who wins, the constitution and its amendments will still exist.
