Yep, the right-wing economists so enthusiastic about the wonders of international free trade and globalism, didn't really factor the problem of pandemics into their models properly.

Nor, I think did they properly consider that whenever you have a market crash in one area (e.g. 2008 US housing crisis) that if trade is global rather than national that such crises harm everyone.

At least this one isn't that serious. There's still time to change before something really serious comes.
As Michael Jackson put it, "we are the world." Globalism is here to stay and it will work itself out in time.

The "right-wing" is pretty strongly nationalist. Bill Clinton started the problem by tipping the trade scales in favor of China, and no president until Trump has tried to correct it.

Enthusiasm for globalism has not been limited to the neocons on the right. Until the recent rise of the alt-right, pretty much the entire right-wing establishment has been pro-globalism for the past 50 years.

Whereas on the 'left' it was very much limited to centrists / neoliberals like the Clintons.

You ignore the right-wing non-establishment. Figures like Ron Paul and Pat Buchanan were very much anti-globalism.

Wow, a whole 2 of them, who are history now. And your Ron Paul example isn't correct. Ron Paul is very pro-free trade and has spoken out vigorously against Trump's tariffs. He's opposed the various free-trade agreements over the years on the grounds they didn't go far enough in promoting the free trade he wanted.

There aren't many as the neocon Buckleyites purged real conservatives from the establishment. This isn't a secret, try to get informed for once.

Ron Paul is a bit of a mixed bag.

No North American Union; no WTO; no UN
Q: Will you abolish all plans to promote economic integration of North America?
A: Not only do I not want a North American Union, I want us out of the U.N., the IMF, the World Bank, the WTO, NAFTA and CAFTA. https://www.ontheissues.org/TX/Ron_Paul_Free_Trade.htm

    A possible silver lining...

Globalists May Soon Become an Extinct Species

The disruptions caused by the spread of the coronavirus mean supply chains will be moved closer to home rather than in foreign lands.
