It's always been considered a dangerous drug.

Doctors and hospitals are absolutely using it to treat, but they need to be careful with dosage since it's toxic, has significant contraindications, and can have serious side effects.

If you have heart problems or diabetes (which are common in the USA) it's dangerous.
Thanks. But I'm not using Chloroquine.

So it is best to get healed of diabetes before such pandemics occur.

Best to learn patience instead of expecting a 'fast food' culture for medicine. Good therapies take time to develop. It is absolutely worth it to pursue more than one option at this stage, vaccines, chloroquine, hydroxychloroquine, 'HYDROXYCHLOROQUINE & AZITHROMYCIN' (from Trump's tweet), other drugs and combinations.

That doesn't make sense. We already inoculate for plenty of diseases so that we don't have to deal with treating them anymore. Why get sick if you don't have to? Especially if it's something you'd have to take sick days for (even with a cure)?

Again. Do we subject millions of people with a vaccine which may have side effects for something that can be treated on the smaller number of people? Or do we hook up everyone on a ventilator just in case something may come up that causes them to have difficulty breathing?

We don't have a cure for every sickness before it happens. The Coronavirus can be something that we only see once in a hundred years.

You are putting many carts before the horse. A vaccine is not developed yet, nor do we know how effective it is or its side effect, let alone whether it should become mandatory or not.

Flu kills a lot of old people and there's no mandatory vaccination. Relax.

A major reason the vaccine is going to take so long to be produced for everyone is because they do have to do a whole lot of testing for it. By the time it officially comes out it won't be "untested."

This is a false dichotomy. We can't currently treat it any other way other than putting it people in respirators, which has significant effects on the people going through it. Furthermore the treatment you're proposing is highly toxic and far worse than any purported side effects or extremely rare allergic responses to vaccines.

The Coronavirus can be something that we only see once in a hundred years.
On the contrary, it exists in the animal population. There is a natural reservoir for this virus. This is unlike Polio, where we can be certain that it is gone because it only ever existed in the human population.
