I've been posting several in the funny political cartoons thread including one or two of these.

I'm always still in trouble again

"You're by far the worst poster on TWeb" and "TWeb's biggest liar" --starlight (the guy who says Stalin was a right-winger)
"Overall I would rate the withdrawal from Afghanistan as by far the best thing Biden's done" --Starlight
"Of course, human life begins at fertilization that’s not the argument." --Tassman

The pork belly bill had to be passed before today's news showing that COVID-19 is not the extensive problem that was projected a month ago. The urgency of this bill was suspect already because Congress was willing to put socialist funding and laws in place due to the "emergency."

You what I find unsettling is Trump asking the Saudis to curtail their production to "stabilize" oil prices. What kind of anti-competition carpola is that? The Saudis and Russia are in a marketshare war and consumers are the beneficiaries. US shale industry will just go into hibernation like it did during the last price downturn. Trump should stay out of it.

Oh well, Trump probably has his marching orders from Putin. Russia wants Saudi Arabia to curtail its production as well.

Price wars involving commodities like oil are dangerous for economic stability. Always have been. Always will be.

That Putin thing is really old, and as illogical as it gets.

Trump is trying to protect the US shale industry, but he needs to stay out of it. Shale can weather the downturn; they did it before.

Oil is the most resilient commodity that ever existed. It drops slowly but rebounds on the fact track. All it takes is one attack on an oil well, one skirmish in a Middle East country, one refinery fire, and gas prices shoot up like a firework.

Trump wants the Saudi to reestablish OPEC price controls, which is the standard anti-competition by curtailed production for 50 years now. Why is it unsettling?

Congress doesn't want to spend trillions, but they really have little choice as both sides, including the president, have obviously agreed.

Hopefully the virus will keep the Representatives from voting for this inappropriate spending bill. However, the bill is likely to be approved and be an extension of the virus' detrimental affect on America and the world. It can't be the will of the people to have chains put around our necks.

Probably all that Congress should have done was to cancel all taxation for 4 months.
