  • Economic Paralysis Bill Passed

I just heard that the Economic Paralysis bill just passed the House.

Everyone who approved this bill without knowing everything in it should be fired.

A real bill for the people's benefit (if we pretend this is ever the goal) would be pinpointed to the real problems -- not thousands of pages of party favors.

This is largely a case where the government causes the problem (wide quarantines ) and now is offering the fix to the problem.

If the government is going to mandate that businesses close, there needs to be some form of economic recourse for this disruption.

The recourse is all negative. They repress us more.

The bill maybe is invalid since a specific public vote of record seems to be required.

Representative Thomas Massie was the only one protesting this. Now the hornets nest has begun to attack him. Debate is not allowed these days.

Was there anything in the bill that could not be delayed for a week or two so that people could make decent decisions about it? Congress keeps on throwing in these big bills hastily submitted and voted on. We don't have the War of the Worlds happening where instant decisions are needed.

I do disagree with Trump's call to kick him out of the Republican Party, but that's par for the course for the rhetoric he likes to offer.

Oh wow. I did not hear that part. Even the President is being unruly.

I also thought all bills pertaining to money or revenue had to originate in the House.

Does anyone even recognize the Supreme Law anymore?

Does it matter if some millions go to pork? It's normal anyway, and small businesses and people do need the money.

In an emergency rights and inconvenient laws are suspended, never let a good crisis go to waste.

Decent graphic on where the money is going.

Sorry can't work out how to convince the forum software to embed it in my post without being unreadably tiny.
