What is a Conspiracy

We need to distinguish between a literal meaning of the word and how it is used in everyday conversation. Technically, when two people scheme together to rob a liquor store, this is a conspiracy. A fair definition of the term as it's actually used might be a situation where the commonly provided/accepted explanation for an event is rejected in favor of an alternative explanation involving subterfuge by those in power. Some conspiracies have proven to be true over the years (Tuskegee syphilis experiment, various CIA plots, etc.), but in general, a strong burden of proof remains to be proven by somebody alleging a conspiracy."I am not angered that the Moral Majority boys campaign against abortion. I am angry when the same men who say, "Save OUR children" bellow "Build more and bigger bombers." That's right! Blast the children in other nations into eternity, or limbless misery as they lay crippled from "OUR" bombers! This does not jell." - Leonard Ravenhill

My real question is -- does Senator Dr. Scott Jensen represent conspiracy theory by pointing out the concerns with the way that death certificates are required to be filled out now to promote Coronavirus numbers? And is his point important about hospitals being paid more if the patient is treated as a COVID-19 case?

It's supposed to mean two or more people colluding or engaging in an illegal or immoral act. Though the latter can be very subjective because the definition of "immoral" varies greatly between folks.
Nowadays it's just used for anything outside of convention or the norm. For example, when Don lemon proposed a wacky theory about a blackhole swallowing up the missing Malaysia flight, he called it a conspiracy theory even though it had nothing to do with anyone conspiring anything.
It's also used to discredit or shame anyone questioning an official narrative, especially a government narrative, typically used by government officials themselves or their media lackeys.

Nearly one third of american believe a vaccine exists, and is being withheld: https://www.msn.com/en-us/news/us/ne...ds/ar-BB138pqm
The interesting one was that 48 percent believed that the true numbers are being concealed. Inaccurate numbers is not the same as concealing.
