OK, this is not so much "civics", but it happens here SO MUCH that I'll start this here until it gets kicked elsewhere.
I have noticed a number of posters seem to pretty much freak out, or, at best, challenge other posters as being DISHONEST for quoting PART of a post.
Recently, one poster, whose name I shall not mention, but his initials are CarpeSomething () politely challenged a quote I posted because he wanted to see the actual words that were quoted "in context".
I was dumbfounded, because I used the actual QUOTE FUNCTION, which provides a hyperlink to take you back to the VERY POST from which the quote was taken, and, hence, you can see the entire context by following the hyperlinks in the quotes from those quotes, etc.
What he did NOT know (and he's a pretty smart guy, so I assume that others may also not know this) is that using the ACTUAL QUOTE FUNCTION automatically embeds a hyperlink, though it be small and unobtrusive, and apparently, easily overlooked.
Example, and a link to the discussion from which this comes...
That little box to the right of my name is, indeed, an automatically embedded hyperlink which will escort you henceforth and hitherto to the very material being quoted.
You're welcome.
